Western Research & Development, Ltd. proudly established roots in Cheyenne, Wyoming more than thirty years ago. Recently, we were acquired by Y2 Consultants, LLC (Y2) in Jackson. Western is ideally situated to service the entire Front Range. Wyoming's capital city is just outside the metropolitan hustle and bustle of the I-25 corridor but within reach of outdoor recreation and mountain wilderness areas. Currently, we are searching for a MARKETING COORDINATOR and a CIVIL ENGINEER.

MARKETING COORDINATOR


JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator supports a full range of marketing initiatives, including business development, proposal management, and all forms of print and electronic media. This position ensures that content is high-quality, fulfills client objectives, and reflects Y2 Consultants/Western Research and Development (Y2/WRD) brand standards.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Proposal Management
  1. Write and oversee proposals, including writing, editing/formatting, compiling, submitting, etc.
  2. Ensure proposals meet all specifications and deadlines; facilitate task assignment
  3. Assist in the RFP vetting process, working with Senior Staff as appropriate
  4. Build and maintain a resource/technical library for typical proposal responses
  5. Update staff resumes and statement of qualifications
  6. Maintain current registration in State and Federal government portals/systems
  7. Work with Senior Staff to create strong responses which help position Y2/WRD as industry leader
2. Business Development
  1. Create, maintain, and update all promotional collateral for Y2/WRD, including print and electronic media (brochures, advertisements, email marketing, etc.)
  2. Coordinate strategic marketing/public outreach efforts such as trade shows or similar opportunities
  3. Regularly review Request for Proposals (RFP)/bid sources and identify new project leads
  4. Manage website content and updates
  5. Manage social media content and posts (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

•   Creative and technical writing
•   Attention to detail
•   Fluency with Microsoft Office
•   Ability to coordinate and collaborate
•   Organization and time management
•   Familiar with WordPress

CIVIL ENGINEER


JOB SUMMARY
Primary tasks are related to civil engineering design including coordinating with clients, government agencies, and other design consultants; completing civil engineering designs and permit documents; and applying for relevant permits. This position is located in Cheyenne, Wyoming or Fort Collins, Colorado.
 
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation.
  2. Civil engineering degree, plus 3+ years’ experience.
  3. Project management experience a plus; drafting experience necessary.

  • Receives guidance when necessary on unconventional or complex problems, direction on modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria.
  • Interacts with clients, customers, officials, contactors, and others.
  • Assists with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
 
MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Serve as a Staff Civil Engineer performing the following functions:
    1. Prepare design drawings and visual aids in Microstation.
    2. Perform standard computations and analyses consistent with WRD standards and the requirements of the appropriate permitting agencies.
    3. Collect data and gather information and/or documents from clients, agencies, site visits, etc.
    4. Monitor construction, operation, and maintenance of utility systems and site work.
    5. Perform field inspections, document observations, collect field samples or data, analyze field conditions, direct subcontractors.
    6. Continually develop and refine knowledge and skills relevant to civil and/or environmental engineering.
    7. Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
    8. Perform design tasks using engineering judgement and the application of standard methods.
    9. Prepare and submit reports and permit applications.
  2. Work with WRD team members, project team members, interface between team members and WRD management.
    1. Maintain a positive working relationship with team members.
    2. Collaborate with WRD management and other teams to prioritize projects, workloads, and needs.
  3. Service to the company, community, and profession:
    1. Engage in appropriate professional development to enhance performance and to gain or maintain certifications.
    2. Participate in marketing efforts for WRD.
    3. Take an active role in community and regional organizations to positively represent WRD.
    4. Contribute to professional organizations.
